Touch Nook STR stuck on "Rooted Forever" screen - Page 2

Here is what worked for me guys. My nook was also stuck at the rooted forever screen. With the cable still hooked to my computer (mac) and nook, I removed the SD card. Then I pressed the power and nook button until a warning message popped up on my mac about the nook being unsafely removed. Then the nook started up and was back to normal!! -Mike

Hi,
My nook simple touch can't support highlight - add note - Shair-look up for pdf files .
Are there any software to convert this Pdf to standard pdf or another format for nook that the facility did not spoil the formulas and tables in my book and articles ?

I had exactly the same problem after a failed root attempt. I held both the power button and the N button. After a few seconds it came back to life and is completely normal now.

I have also made the mistake of formatting my Nook instead of my sd card. One moment everything was fine and then it wasn't. I've tried installing images to my Nook but its stuck on the rooted forever scree, none of the restores are working.

Edit---
I've found my backup image but it says Install Failed: Please power off and back on. I do this but it says the same thing. It shows up for a few seconds in device manager right after I power it on but the device id is wrong, USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_B&N&PROD_EBOOK_DISK&REV_0100\1122 3344556677&0. And then it disconnects in a few seconds.
