Kobo Turning Back On By Itself

Lately I have noticed when my Kobo is put in to sleep mode and if I look at it later it has turned it back self on and it's on the last page I was reading. Has this been happening to anyone else?

I have seen it once or twice before on mine. Never figured it out though.

I've noticed that too - particularly if I leave it in sleep overnight - when I wake up, it is back on it's last page and later will go back to sleep again. I don't know if it's because it's the wifi version - that it is waking up to update the library/check for newspapers/bookmarks, etc.

I just upgraded to 1.9 and I haven't had time to see if it still does it.

on the wifi, The device is waking up to check for newspapers and subscriptions. If you don't subscribe to newspapers or magazines, go into the options and turn it off. With the original firmware, it used to turn on more often than it should and kill the battery faster than intended. this was supposedely fixed in the first firmware update.

Yeah that's a good point about the latest firmware update. It's only started happening since the update.

yeah, when you upgrade to a new firmware, it's possible the settings will revert back to default. just make sure it's off if you don't plan to use it and your device won't wake on its own again.
