No, why would there be? The Kindle forum would be a good place to ask about issues with Goodreads on Kindles. I don't think any other ereader includes Goodreads integration since Amazon owns Goodreads.

There are Goodreads discussions on Goodreads itself. For example Goodreads Feedback group. I would suggest the discussions there would be more productive than any we could have here. Of course Kindle integrations with Goodreads could be discussed in Kindle forum.

Why shouldn't there be a Goodreads forum here? We have a Calibre forum and this isn't Calibre. We have forums for a bunch of different readers but we're not the Kindle site or the Kobo site etc. We have a news discussion and this isn't the BBC or CNN.

If this is a site about reading on mobile devices, then it is reasonable that somebody would ask about one of their reading tools and discussing it here. ....

Calibre's not a social media platform. Devices aren't social media platforms. Why would it make any sense to have a forum discussing another forum? As others have noted, it's perfectly acceptable to discuss Goodreads integration in the device forums where Goodreads integration is relevant, but what would be the purpose of having an entire new subforum dedicated to Goodreads? What would be talked about (outside of the previously mentioned--and already covered--technical device integration topic) that wouldn't be better discussed on Goodreads itself? It's too meta. Should we have an OnlineBookClub.org forum? Should we create forum where folks can chat about John Scalzi's blog? What about a Project Gutenberg forum? Goodreads already IS a place where people can discuss Goodreads.

Actually, yes. Two of them. One based around our annual challenge, one just a general one (And totally inactive, I'm afraid.)

The group itself (as a private discussion venue) may be totally inactive, but I believe several of its members still interact (even if passively) via progress updates and review comments, no? I'm not a member but I see a few likes/comments resulting from friends I have in common with the group.

Oh, I think we all have a few friends or folks we follow over there. I know I do. And they're all from here. But the group itself? No postings in 2 years. That counts as inactive to me.

(and further proof that there's no real need to form groups on one social platform to talk about another social platform--just use both platforms)

Oh, I'd agree. The one virtue of the GR group of MR members is that it makes it easier to find the corresponding member. Some folks use different aliases on different platforms. But otherwise? No, makes no sense.
