Caliber freezes when inserting document into database.
Error found in: caliber-file-dialog.exe

Version 3.16 is earlier than current. In version 3.16 the caliber-file-dialog.exe program has been running for some time. In higher versions caliber-file-dialog.exe also freezes. Windows 7 seemingly stable with other programs, no registry errors, optimized system, defragmented and clean virus. Thanks for some guidance!

first, that is NOT an exe program. Look in the program files(x86)/calibre2 folder

I suspect your A/V is blocking calibres call to the file dialog
