EBookDroid 2.0.6 released (Android)
There are many ways to view PDF documents on Android devices, but the free EBookDroid app has a few extras that make it worth your consideration. For instance, it allows you to automatically or manually crop margins and instantly zoom to a column's content. It's also super-fast.
Since V2.0 EBookDroid is a closed-source application. Earlier versions can be downloaded from Google Drive. V2.0.6 includes the following changes and fixes: Common changes
Book viewer features
Bug fixes

Why did they close the source?

That's a very good question. I found the open-sourced variant to be better in some regards (more stable, less clutter).
It seems strange to me unless the developer plans on charging for it eventually (either directly for the app or by offering its rendering routines to third party). |

Tried it, not impressed. Default setting was to ignore epubs and it wouldn't load PDFs because it said it needed external decoder, but the link had no instructions on how to find the right apk for any given device.
Add in a really annoying page scrolling method, and it's not something I want to use. |

I have been using it on my Lenovo K1 for a long time. It does an excellent job on all types of PDFs, and djvus to.

ezPDF is on sale right now, and it is the best PDF app for android that I have tested so far. I was not very impressed with ebookdroid, but maybe it is better now.

I found EBookDroid to be considerably faster than ezPDF in rendering complex PDF documents, in particular on slower devices. But I am also still using 1.6, which is open-source and uses various GPL routines that were supposedly removed in 2.0.

I may have to track down 1.6 - because 2.06 doesn't load PDFs at all for me.
