I have an idea...

We can have the paid month and to go with it, we can have a cheap/free month. The cheap/free month would be eBooks that were or are free but not public domain. If they are not free, then a price no more than $4.99. And by no public domain, no paid versions of PD books.

I think these would compliment each other pretty well.

I'm supporting "Foreign" and "Normally Priced".

Maybe doing the latter is considered by some to be bad style because I'm not decided yet if I will give my vote to this category or not. But I guess most of us here have run out of nominations and maybe there is a chance to stop Jon ranting about it again and again when we have a fair voting and he sees the results.

With all of the arguing being posted back and forth, I'm not sure if I've caught all of the nominations. Please double check to make sure nothing was missed. Quoting the post with said nomination would be appreciated.

Yeah, we sure got side-tracked with all the free/nonfree thoughts!
And it's not like any of us can actually decide about it. A category has to be nominated, supported and win a vote to be chosen. Realistically I can't see a category based on price alone win (unless tha price is "free")
Other categories that have been suggested before sort of (but not entirely) does the same job though. "Modern" or "Written the last xx years" and so on weeds out at least PD books that are PD because of age.
