Best in Travel 2015: The Best Trends, Destinations, Journeys & Experiences for the Year Ahead by Lonely Planet in their Best in Travel series is a lavishly-illustrated guidebook to planning your trips for this year if you wish to try out Exactly What It Says In The Title, free courtesy of publisher Lonely Planet.

This is the featured iTunes UK Free Book of the Week.

It's actually really nifty, consisting of reasonably in-depth primers on various locales and their particular attractions for the year ahead, along with general destination/cultural/did-you-know-trivia info, and much nicer than their usual glorified "best-of trips" sampler excerpt freebies which try to sell you on buying the full books for your potential destination. NB: this is not one of their actual samplers, but a full book that they normally charge money for.

Currently free, probably just through Monday @ iTunes UK and thence price-matched @ Amazon UK. I spot-checked a number of regional iTunes & Amazon stores, and it wasn't free in any of them like they sometimes also go in EU/Oceania.

This is a large filesize fixed-format book which will require a compatible level of device/app to comfortably read.

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Because I rather enjoy reading books about travel, even if I'm not particularly keen on doing it myself.

Also, they feature Northern Norway and Toronto, Canada among their few dozen picks of top places to go, and they also happen to mock Toronto's former mayor Rob Ford, who fully deserves it, so
