here .... temps in the 70's F today & tomorrow with lots of fog & drizzle, cold front rolls in Saturday, highs in the 30's F Sunday ...

It's icing right now. Everything's going to be shut tomorrow here in DFW. 30 F with a RealFeel of 14 right now.

Yep, it was much colder today! I'm glad we had a mild (if rainy) Friday. We FINALLY replaced our old garage doors.* The guy had to work in the garage to assemble them, because of the rain, so he was a little cramped, but it would have been much worse if it had been cold.

Today was overcast and cold, with highs just above freezing.

Sunday we're due for snow, sleet, freezing rain, and then, just rain. I went out shopping earlier, so we can batten down the hatches and just stay put all day.

* The old ones were original to the house, from 1963, and were made of wood and composition board. They were -- quite literally -- falling apart. The new ones are steel -- surprisingly, much lighter.

Well, it's Sunday, 34 F, and starting to drizzle - the ground is warm enough to melt anything but everyone will be watching the power lines & tree limbs ...

At 9 am here it's -5 F and snowing. By Wednesday the high for the day is predicted to be -1 F.

Update: It's 35 F and there's now thunder & rain ..... going to be a long, interesting day ... off to make sure the ereaders & tablets are fully charged ...

This storm system could generate some memorable NFL games today ...

Just a few miles south of us they got between 10 and 14 inches of snow -- we lucked out with only a bit more than an inch. But then it changed to freezing drizzle. It's supposed to continue raining through tomorrow afternoon -- but it won't get above freezing until about 5 AM. In anticipation of this mess I went out to a couple stores on Saturday. Plus I charged up all the batteries I could find, etc.

Continuous drizzle here, as well. And cold -- just above freezing today, it will be just below freezing, tonight. But still drizzling, so not a good time to go anywhere.

Tomorrow -- more snow. Probably more than we got Sunday.

Looking through my window it is so beautiful outside. Clear sky with brilliant sunshine and everything covered in the purest white snow. Too bad that is is -13 F (-30 F windchill).

The day started misty, followed by a couple of hours of sun. But then it disappeared and the mist returned. It did and does look very wintery outside. It was cold today, just above freezing, but it wasn't an unpleasant cold (if that makes any sense).

-42C wind chill this morning and -31C air temperature. It's almost springlike now with a -20C air temperature and -28C windchill.
