Ipad will not connect

When I try to send a book to my Ipad from Calibre is says "Cannot send. No devise connected". I have Wifi turned on and I am connected to the internet and the Ipad is connected to my Mac.

Any suggestions?

Install the ReadMe app on your iPad using iTunes. Open Safari and browse to:

Replace 192.168.1.2 with the local IP address of the computer running calibre.

Two problems:
1. It says open Safari - do you mean from Ipad or your home computer?
2. It does not seem to matter, I tried both ways and entered: http://192.168.1.2:8080. Browswer could not locate this address so you are unable to replace it with my local IP address.

I also installed the ReadMe application on my Ipad but there are no instructions on what to do with this app.

You should of course replace the IP before entering, as in http://<your local IP here>:8080 where you'd replace the text in the brackets including the brackets themselves with the IP address of the computer that's running the Calibre content server.
