Method to sync reading position from calibre to android reader with sd card?
Whats the method to use an sd card or usb to usb-c flashdrive to sync reading position and bookmarks from calibre on desktop to my android phone? will calibre go work for this? Currently using moonreader pro as my android reader. After much research, i found my isp router has port forwarding blocked and cant use the CC content server option to sync wirelessly.

You only need Port Forwarding +IF+ you do it from outside you LAN.
You do need to specify (in the Moon app:net Library:Add you Calibre Host) the IPort of the Calibre host eg 192.168.0.16:8080 |

You did start the Server?
I did test with my TAB A (I had been using CC, but for you , I configured a Moon Net device AND IT WORKED. Is the Host ALSO WiFi? The router needs to allow same WiFi peer connections AND some need to use the same Band (eg 2.4GHz or 5GHz). |

There is no way to do that. You will ned to use the content server and the in browser calibre viewer if you want to sync reading positions between calibre desktop and various devices.

I happen to have the Manual for that router (must have come in contact with that model at some time). I keep my Manuals in Calibre
At your PC: Open a browser: type 192.168.1.254 into the address bar. OR http://gateway.pace.com (the password is printed on the label) DO NOT EVER POST that That should allow configuration (Be careful , write down any changes and keep those safe) |
