Calibre is WONDERFUL. First off, it runs on Mac and Linux as well as Windows.
It will automatically convert from a number of different formats (including .lit and cbr comics!). You can set it to automatically create "books" from RSS feeds - essentially having a newspaper delivered to your reader (there are a number of major newspapers in the presets). The software is regularly updated (by a MR forum member) and new features pop up all the time. As lovely as Calibre is (oh how it is), the biggest reason to use it is how incredibly BAD the Sony Connect software is. It's a clunky and buggy iTunes knockoff that only runs on Windows (when it runs at all). The only reason to install the software at all is to buy books from the store in my opinion. |
