Which Kobo WiFi do you have, N647, N647B, or 289? Once we know that we can send you the correct file so you can write the image file onto the internal SD card.

Did you removed the internal card? The ereader does not expose the entire card over the USB interface. You need to remove it and use your computer with a card reader to write the image.

I thought that might be the case. I would probably break it opening it anyway. My brother-in-law broke his I believe when he had a problem with the usb connector. Back to paperbacks I guess lol. Thanks so much for the help.
