So the discharge rate slows. OTOH, when the voltage of a device battery decreases the current increases as the load is a constant power. I have a WiFi router that came with a 9V AD adapter. Well, since everything here runs on 12V I thought it pretty silly to make 120V AC just to get 9V DC. So I just directly plugged in 12V into the router and it works fine and takes less current than it does on the 9V adapter. Also, it's criminal in this day and age to have battery charge state quantified to 4-5 levels. |
