Edgar Wallace?
HarryT: I see that you've uploaded several Edgar Wallace books. The synopses look interesting. I was wondering if you could give some bio background on Wallace. I've never heard of him. Did he do genre work, or was he a general novelist, etc?

He was one of the most famous (and prolific) British novelists of the early 20th century, writing mainly crime and adventure novels. See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Wallace It is claimed that more movies - over 160 - have been made of his books than of any other author. |

You're very welcome. Not "great literature", but fun "action-packed" detective stories, the sort with wildly improbable coincidences, and a new body in every chapter. Great fun to read!

Most of them are standalone books. See:
http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/w/edgar-wallace/ I suppose you could read them in chronological order if you wished to. He did do a few "series" - I've collected the "Mr. J.G. Reeder" and the "Just Men" books into omnibus editions with the books in the correct order within each. |
