Lurid American fantasy closely modelled on Sax Rohmer's "Fu Manchu" series, with "Dr Death", properly named Dr Rance Mandarin, the greatest brain of his generation, trying to take over the world, and NYPD cops Holms and Ricks trying to prevent it. Some of the chapter titles might give an idea:

The second of 3 short novels of around 50,000 words by Ward, writing under the pseudonym "Zorro", in the short-lived (just 3 issues) monthly magazine "Dr Death".
