Kindle Fire completely dead
about 6 months ago I purchased the 10 inch Kindle Fire HD tablet for my mother. Unfortunately, she got sick and recently passed away. I was going through her things and found her Fire; it hadn't been used in about 2.5 months at all and is completely dead. I plugged it in to charge and even after 24 hours it's still completely dead. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I know it was working fine before. Thanks in advance for any assistance or suggestions!

Some users have had success with plugging a dead Fire in to a USB port on their computer and allowing it to sit overnight.

I thought it was supposed to be a wall charger, not a computer port, for 24 hours. The wall charger has more power. And, since you've tried 24 hours, it doesn't hurt to KEEP it on that wall charger, at least until you talk to Amazon. More time might help.

Thanks everyone. After plugging it into the computer USB port overnight it worked fine! The wall charger didn't work, even though I tried two different chargers. Not sure what the difference is but thanks for all the suggestions!
