Looking for a epub managing software
I joined this forum to find out where to search for a nice userfriendly managing software for epub. My collection exceeds 2900 books - and it is a mess, how publishers do metatagging.
I am annoyed by not being able to give the right order in a series of books from the same author. I would like to categorize books into the timelime of literatural historie, e.g. German Klassik, French Surrealism and so forth. I would like to batch-edit books, when the authors name in the metatag is listed wrong. No library sorts books by the author first name! Bibtex has a nice order, which ought to be compatibel with e-books, not only e-pubs. Sometimes I wonder, if the various publishers ever have read books or kept a library in a searchable order.

I'd recommend Calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/). It has everything I need, and will probably work for you, too. calibre is a free and open source e-book library management application developed by users of e-books for users of e-books. It has a cornucopia of features divided into the following main categories:
Library Management
E-book conversion
Syncing to e-book reader devices
Downloading news from the web and converting it into e-book form
Comprehensive e-book viewer
Content server for online access to your book collection
