Extend Battery Life

I mostly use my kindle now however I take out my PRS-T1 every once in a while. When I do, I make sure to charge the battery to prevent it from getting too low. How often should I charge it to make sure the battery lasts as long as possible?

Charge the battery until it's about half full and then top it up back to half full every month or so. Don't store any device with a fully-charged battery.

Where do you have that information from? I thought it was only harmful to store a device with a completely depleted battery. Storing it with a full battery didn't seem like a problem to me!

It is bad for a lithium battery to be stored either fully-charged or empty. A 40-50% charge level is optimal for storage.

If you want a reference, see here.
