The PW light doesn't turn off unless the display is asleep or off. Did the rest of you who favorably compared the PW to the Touch, do so when both were asleep using the same screensavers? I think the best no-glow contrast belongs to the Kindle 4 Black followed by the Kindle 3. My PW doesn't have contrast as poor as the K4s YMMV.

I'm not sure it matters how much whiter the k3 screen is than the KLW with the light turned off? The Kpw is meant to be operated w the light on and with the light on it looks better than the k3 in almost all lighting.

My KT is a bit whiter than the PW with light off.
But the big difference is the text rendering. Font are thicker and darker on the KT, making it much more pleasant to read (again, if we are comparing them with the PW light off or at min.). Once you crank that light, the PW dominates. |
