How to Change the Text Size

I think I followed the instructions to change the size of the text, but when I press the Aa button, I get the screen indicated in the manual, but can't figure out how to get the underline from the screen orientation up to the text size figures. Moving the five way doesn't seem to help - any ideas what I might be doing incorrectly? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are trying to change the text size of a PDF file. I do not think that you can change the font size of a PDF file. You can however with an AZW file.

Ok, so how did you get the letters on the top to be highlighted? I wanted to change the size of the text in the book that I'm reading, old eyes you know.

The one with out the text highlighted is a PDF file that I side loaded to my Kindle. The one with the text highlighted is a AZW file downloaded from Amazon. They are two different books. Download a book from Amazon and you should be able to change the font size.

I did download a book and was trying to change the font size, will give it another go.
