Question about Sony 600

Does the 600 come with a leather cover like the 505? If so, could someone please measure it for me? It says it comes with a sleeve, but doesn't provide much other information.

Anyone know if the 650 is going to come with a sleeve or a cover too? Any thoughts on its dimensions?

The 600 comes with some kind of a neoprene pouch. So you have to physically get the reader out of the pouch. The pouch is not attached to the reader at all. It's more like putting the reader into a bag.

I have no idea whether or not the 650 comes with a cover, but I would assume no. All companies are cutting down costs and try to make an extra $$$ with separate merchandise.

The neoprene cover for the PRS-600 is about the same size as a DVD, but rounded at the corners making it slightly easier to fit in a pocket than a DVD.

The cover fits nicely and gives good overall protection against bumps, falls and dust, but not so much against pointy objects.

At release a number of owners was dissapointed with the cover, but I found it to be functional and nice (although it's probably really cheap to manufacture).

(Note: I upgraded to the The Sony cover with light, but it is wider, and doesn't fit in most jacket/coat pockets, the kindle 3 cover with light is superior in that respect)

I use the "book-style" cover too because when my reader was brand new I'd set it aside on a tiled surface not knowing there were some crumbs which scratched the back of the reader. So I wanted something where I can just quickly put the reader down for a second without worrying.
