Faded letters in some pages and menus

Hi guys,

It's been 2 months since I found out about this community. Last month I decided to buy the M92 for college. I wanted a big reader to be able to read mostly pdfs.
Yesterday I finally got the device and I think it has a little problem. Actually I'm not sure if it's really a problem, but maybe because of the resolution and PPI limit it looks like it's a problem.

So, the problem is when I load pdfs, the letters are a little faded. They are still readable though, but it very hard on the eyes to read like that..
The thing is, when I zoom in more and more, the fade goes away... so I'm not sure it's a device malfunction or it should be that way because of the resolution (which is considered low compared to regular tablets).

In addition to the above, in some menus the the letters are really faded, which actually makes them very hard to read... and that doesn't disappear even if I refresh the screen.

I attached a few picture to let you judge on your own, from your experience, if the device has a problem or not.

The firmware version is: 1.8 20121220 (could it be a firmware issue?)
I bout it from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120946532540...84.m1497.l2649
the seller says it's the international version. (Actually I wanted to buy from Booxtor, but at the time I placed the order, the device was out of stock)

Here are the pictures (some were taken with flash on).. note that it's hard to reflect the problem in a picture, but as you can see for example, the menu item "next" is faded completely (and it's always like that), and the words become more and more harder to read when zooming out.

Possible to go different ways to solve the problem:
* In the program you use for reading thickening (Menu Reading / Glysh Embolden.) Do not expose more than 2 - will be hard to read
* Do you incorrectly configured update pages in the book itself. In the main menu (immediately after turning book): Settings / Screen Update / always. Should help.
* Transform source files over to "grayscale". To do this, print the file on a virtual pdf-printer with the following settings

Hi, that first suggestion was pretty helpful actually. I wasn't familiar with this option, I changed the embolden level to 1 (it was 0). but still, some menu items are very faded as you can see in some of the pictures... and changing the display updates didnt help.

Thanks a lot, you opened my eyes for some new options
