KOReader sleep mode complete battery drain
I had a rather strange issue happen this morning with my new Clara, which is also running KOReader.
I had been reading a book yesterday afternoon in KOReader, with ~95% battery available, and let the reader go into sleep mode with the book still open. Overnight, the battery had drained completely to zero. Is that a known issue, or is it more likely something to do with my hardware and not with KOReader? ETA: I didn't observe this issue prior to installing KOReader, and my settings in the Kobo software were factory default as in Sleep 10 mins, Shutdown never. I actually noticed the same thing just recently on my PW4.
I normally exit KOReader and enable airplane mode when I'm done. Yesterday, only meant to take a short break from reading but became busy and the PW4 battery drained from ~80% to ~30% in, I believe, just 6 hours? Stock reader, battery drain on the PW4 is worse compared to the PW3 but I don't believe it's quite 50% in only 6 hours bad. |

It seems that problem with battery drain in some cases isn't 100% solved. Before it was more common occurrence, now it is very rare (I didn't had it on my device for a long, long time).
What builds you have? Latest nightly, or something very old? |

There's almost nothing in common between Kobo and Kindle as far as suspending the device goes.

Crash log attached. If there is anything, it'd be from yesterday or today, I'm not sure what I'm looking for as I see a lot of messages in there. Like I noted above, the one thing that seems a little coincidental, is that sleep mode was working fine for several days prior to installing KOReader. |

What we're looking for is one of the sleep related sections:

In the Kindle case, we rely entirely on the system, so I'm going to chuck that one in the generic "Kindle FW doing weird crap in the BG" bin .
I haven't seen anything weird on the Forma (which should be similar to the Clara, as far as this is concerned) as far as sleep is concerned, but I'm not a good test-case on that front, as I barely ever let the device sleep outside of Nickel. |

Hmm is sleep cover an issue with Kindles, too? I use a sleep cover on my PW4 but just neoprene or faux leather sleeves for my PW3s. Then again, could be firmware versions as well. The PW4 is on 5.10.2 while the PW3s are on 5.8.x or 5.9.6.1. |

I don't remember if there were any sleepcover related quirks on Kindle, as I've never used one (sleep cover, that is ;p), but I wouldn't think so? Either it works or it doesn't, but there shouldn't be any weird "might wake up and do horribly weird stuff" quirks like on Kobo .
