Image locations problem
Hello, Sigil team.
I have some problem in my ePub book structure. There is some book which is not in standart Sigil eBook file structure. For example my pages are located in folder OEBPS\units\unit1\page1.xhtml, OEBPS\units\unit1\page2.xhtml, OEBPS\units\unit1\page3.xhtml ..., OEBPS\units\unit2\page1.xhtml, OEBPS\units\unit2\page2.xhtml, ... and etc. Image, Fonts, Video files are located in OEBPS\assets\img\image1.png, OEBPS\assets\img\someimage2.png, ..., OEBPS\assets\vid\move1.png, OEBPS\assets\fonts\segoepr.ttf, and etc. But during opening this file all images, videos and etc are located in OEBPS\Images, OEBPS\Videos, and etc. And links in the pages *.xhtml are not changes. And in pages images are not visible. It happens because sigil dont locates my images in OEBPS\assets\*.png files into Images folder. After saving any other ePub viewers also dont shows images, because in this case links to images in pages ../../assets/someimage.png are broken, this folder dont exists. Existes new file structure OEBPS\Images, OEBPS\Videos and etc. How to fix this problem? Thanks. |

If some file paths aren't being correctly updated when opening an epub, it usually means their paths in the original opf manifest weren't correct to begin with. Sigil's automatic link updating routines require the paths in the opf to be correct.
Are you saying every path except the ones to .png files are being correctly updated? Also, what version of Sigil are you using? I believe there were changes made to more recent versions so that duplicate file names (in different folders) could be accommodated. |

Even without Mend on Open, links should be updated unless the underlying xhtml is brojen in some way to begin with.

One example, is the (valid) semi-official Creative Commons Shared Culture epub3 sample file. Without Mend on Open, in p20.xhtml video, css and script paths won't be updated. |

That means that "official" epub has something that gumbo feels in inappropriate. I will take a look at what that epub has that gumbo barfs on.
