Was haltet ihr von "Elektrobuch"?

Wenn der deutsche Markt jetzt langsam eBook-sturmreif geschossen wird, sollte man doch mal darüber nachdenken, dem digitalen Kinde im Land der Dichter und Denker auch einen deutschen Begriff zu verpassen.

Mein Vorschlag ist "Elektrobuch".

Griffig, deutsch, schauderhaft. Aber irgendwie kultig. Wie eine Mischung aus "Kraftwerk"-Musik und einem "Raumpatrouille"-Trailer.

Wir können ja mal ein paar Vorschäge sammeln und sie an Duden schicken.

Ob man jetzt "epub" wirklich als "elektronische Eckkneipe" übersetzen sollte, da bin ich mir noch nicht schlüssig.

Warum einen deutschen Begriff einführen? eBook kann doch einfach weiterverwendet werden
Wo es einen deutschen äquivalenten Begriff gibt, sollte dieser mMn weiterverwendet werden (Zeitung vs Newspaper) - aber warum nicht die Sprache einfach erweitern und wachen lassen? Bei der eMail hat es doch auch wunderbar geklappt - eine Mail ist ein elektronischer Brief, ein Brief ist ein normaler. Einfacher als bei den Amis (Mail, Snail Mail, eMail)

Ich finde Elektrobuch ausgezeichnet!! Und blutrünstige Thriller, die als ebook verlegt werden, heißen dann Elektroschocker!

Also wenn schon, denn schon richtig. Ich bin dafür, das jede DEUTSCHE Sprachregion ihr eigenes Wort bekommt. Bei uns Schwaben hieße der Namen dann "Elektrobüchle", was man schön im "Bähnle" lesen kann.

Ich glaube es wäre wichtiger den Menschen zu erklären, dass ein "iih-Buk" die Datei ist, und nicht das Lesegerät.
Wird auch in den Medien immer wieder falsch verwendet ... "Das neue eBook von Sony".

Aber ich schließe mich der Mehrheit an. Elektrobuch ist zu mühsam auszusprechen.

Wenn schon eingedeutscht, dann würde ich wohl "ebook-Lesegerät" verwenden - ist zwar nicht so schön wie "ebook-reader", birgt wenigstens auch keine keine Missverständnisse.
(... und die Fußnägel bleiben so wie sie sein sollen )
