Published in 1918 or 1920 (either 2 or 4 years after his death), Hearts of Three is a novelization by Jack London (1876-1916) of a movie script by Charles Goddard.

Far from his best known work, Hearts of Three is very much like the modern day versions of Star Trek of Buffy stories that are created from movies or television.

While interesting and at times wonderful, I found the book to be uneven and working against itself. If you want London at his best, read The Call of the Wild, White Fang, or The Sea Wolf.
