The Mercy of the Tide by Keith Rosson is $1.99 at Amazon US. Not sure this counts as a horror novel exactly. I think it has more literary intentions. But to me at least, it sounds very good.

One of the books I bought with my credit is Risen by Jan Strnad. It's not on sale, though it was free once, eight years ago.

Anyway, I'm familiar with Jan through his writing for comics and cartoons.
