It does look good and I did pick it up. But considering I'm currently reading Dan Simmons excellent Summer of Night, another book about kids vs. The Forces of Evil(TM), I'll hold off from reading it for a bit.

All three of these are excellent books. I have Speaks the Nightbird in Audio, very well done, and Gone South I picked for a book club read last year - have a paperback copy of it and Blue World. I haven't read Blue World (anthology yet), but the first two are excellent.

I do have to say I hate the current covers though - the old artwork was so cool

I'm in the same boat. But did you ever see the excellent TV adaptation of Nightcrawlers (one of the stories in Blue World)? It was on the '80's revival of The Twilight Zone and was directed by William Friedkin (the director of The Exorcist and The French Connection).

I do have to say I hate the current covers though - the old artwork was so cool.

I liked that it was weird. Horror can be grisly and dark. But it can also be a bit predictable. I appreciate when a writer puts out something that is a break from the norm.

I had that feeling when I read Clive Barker's Books of Blood and I had that feeling reading Nightscape (not that Nightscape is of the same stature as the Books of Blood).

Oooh, I started Books of Blood and keep forgetting it's sitting on the table next to my reading chair. It's hardback and I find it easier to read Kindle.
