Maybe they'll have a more pleasing layout in their next edition.

I also enjoyed the assumption that one can convert 4.5KWh of "energy" into 3kg of CO2 emissions. There was also no mention of the offset factor for the CO2 sequestered in the cellulose making up the paper in the book. Nor the carbon sequestered in the black ink used to print most books. Nor did it speak to the differences in environmental impact between post consumer affects of an ebook reader vs a paper book.

It would be handy if news letter's like this gave you a pointer to the original study so one can investigate these short cuts to see just how short they are.

A tiny point against...one must not forget the huge power requirements of servers and those of the individual computers, while downloading and the time it takes to read the documents. But it is insignificant in the balance of things.
