PDF-to-MOBI results in HUGE file!
Normal, stock conversion settings, never run into this before:
Somehow a 24 megabyte PDF just became a 400 megabyte MOBI. Any tips? |

I had this happen once before.
From my understanding it is to do with how that file was scanned into a PDF in the first place. If it was actually in an editable text format then it will stay nice and small. If it was along the lines of each page being a picture then when calibre tries to convert it is converting a picture per page, not text, and therefore it turns out huge. Brewjono |

Same thing happened to me recently; it was because the original PDF was just a collection of images (of text) instead of text.
