I asked the guy in electronics a couple weeks ago about the kobo, if he had heard any thing. He said no, but said that they were doing a whole reset of the electronics section around the first week of August. I realize this means absolutely nothing, but maybe they will be added in when they re-set? For reference, the college here starts Aug. 21st, and I think the K-12 start the next week after that, maybe week and a half. Sorry, no little kids any more so I just don't know!

Thanks. I'm looking forward to Walmart selling Kobos and Kobo eBooks. I don't know why, I'm not really in the market for either, but I like the idea of another eReader outlet and more choice.

The original announcement seemed to indicate that it was going to be all stores and online as well. I believe they will be co-branding the Kobo name with Walmart for the eBook sales.

Good info. The post mentions e-books will be sold by Walmart starting Aug 21 but doesn't say whether Kobo readers will be included in the launch. Guess we'll find out in a month.

If the Walmart-Kobo deal takes off, that could be the nail in the coffin for B&N's e-book business.

I was in Walmart this morning and saw the "ads" they have as you walk into the store had one with what looked like an ereader and a phone with a "Walmart Books" app open on it.
