Problems converting Ebook

Hello,

I used Calibre in the past to convert ebooks into the MOBI format to put it onto my kindle voyage but have not used it in a while. Now that I just wanted to convert another ebook the way I used to I always seem to get an error.

I also tried deinstalling ans reinstalling calibre including the addons/plugins - but I have not been successful so far.

It would be great if you could point me in a direction as I wasn't able to find the right solution in this forum so far.

that error indicates the book you are trying to convert is not valid. see if you can get another copy from another source.

Thank you for your quick reply! I have tried it with various books and always get the same message.

Could it be connected to the fact that I opened the library from my Qnap Nas? I think I never received this error before that.

I also tried to move the library back to my local hard drive and reinstalled everything, but I still have the same problem. Are there any other things that I can try?

putting your library on a NAS is never a good idea, see https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq...rked-drive-nas

if you still get the errors after moving it off, then it indicates the files are already damaged. Not much that can be done at that point, I'm afraid, short of re-acquiring them.
