I recently got a new kindle and now the covers of the books are not showing in the library. The covers show on the Lock Screen. I have an older version of calibre (6.29) as my Mac is old now. Is there any way to fix this? I have over 800 books on my kindle currently

No way to fix it at the moment outside of sending your ebooks to the Kindle as PDOCs. The 2024 Kindles use MTP instead of USBMS and the directory where the covers are stored is not available.

if they are purchased threw amazon the thumbnails will eventually show up. Just wait until they do before downloading them. i have 1400 ebooks and it takes me 3 days to download for i have to do it in small batches as the covers show up

Obviously they're not Amazon purchases, as the OP mentioned Calibre.

I always put all my Amazon purchases into Calibre, probably for a good bit more than 10 years. Even when I only had a Kindle.

Amazon broke being able to set collections via PC.

Then they broke covers.

You could keep WiFi off so Amazon can not remove the covers.
