I don't have a PW5. I have a Kindle Touch and a PW3.

Are you saying that the system software for a Kindle stays in place when KoReader is run?

The OP didn't want logs to be sent to amazon. Updating KOReader over wifi does put the kindle on line, which allows logs to be sent (and/or update firmware) even while KOReader is running.

Please provide evidence that KOReader can update over wifi without being online or edit your post to remove that dangerous and false claim.

And please stop making stuff up and trying to pass it off as fact.

That's not how KOReader works on a Kobo. When you put KOReader online, the system is not there to do anything. It's KOReader that's handling the WiFi connection.

Guys df is this? If i un-register it it will delete all my books from internal storage??Maybe jailbreak or even Koreader will be lost?

It is not a Tapatalk bug. It's simply that most sites these days do not allow third party linking to the site. You should not be using a linked image unless you treat it as a URL and not an IMG.

That is you need to use [URL]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250208/633f4c28facdd0bcf9eb31cee8ebf09d.jpg[/URL] instead of [IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250208/633f4c28facdd0bcf9eb31cee8ebf09d.jpg[/IMG]

Yes, by default deregister deletes contend of "/mnt/us/documents" where books are, I can't recall if it also clears the whole "/mnt/us" or not.

On a Kindle with jailbreak you can stop it from doing that by running this code (before deregistering ) :

Oh shit!Haha,i registered.I have my books to other folder,not documents.So i will copy to pc,deregister and then again paste them.Also another thing is that (i think) this option has been added at the very bottom of the settings.What it is?

Please read the message I posted earlier. IMG tags will only work with sites that allow 3rd party connections which are getting few and far between. As mentioned earlier, I would recommend using the Paperclip icon or the Manage Attachments button (advanced mode only) to attach images. This also saves the images from disappearing later.

And another issue is that even if the [img] tag works, if the image is no long there, then that means the image is no longer available. Attached images don't have this problem.
