Default maximum cover image size bug/flaw - Page 2

@JSWolf - enough already...

How many of the 40 tweaks have ever had their factory set default value changed since their inception - I'd be surprised if it's more than 5, probably closer to 0.
Consider this tweak

ID: add_new_book_tags_when_importing_books

Set this to True to ensure that tags in 'Tags to add when adding a book' are added when copying books to another library.

add_new_book_tags_when_importing_books = False

I have have wittingly, knowingly, deliberately, conciously left it at the default setting of False.

Now let's assume for some reason Kovid in his infinite wisdom decides to change the factory set default value of this Tweak to True.

If your scheme were adopted my witting, knowing, deliberate, concious setting of False (the old default) would be changed to True - without so much as a "By your leave, sir."

@Betterred Though I agree with you that the tweaks should not be changed. It is up to Kovid if he wants to go this route or not but maybe when upgrading a calibre install we could get a dialog that these are your tweaks being used currently and these are the defaults now so give the user the choice of changing or keeping the tweaks.
