Edit Metadata (download) sometimes doesn't work?

I like to use the Download Cover and Metadata functionality for new books I've added that are missing the data.

However, the functionality doesn't always work, despite all other connectivity on the machine working fine. But Calibre is claiming that it found 0 records for some of the most famous books in print.

Give it an hour and it's back. I'm quite perplexed and it's frustrating.
Has anyone else had this problem?

The title or author field may contain extra text or spelling errors that can confuse the look up.

Get the ISBN plugin and scan for ISBN before you download metadata. That way you will get the exact correct metadata.

Also you may consider adding other metadata sources.

Calibre pulls from a few sources (more if you have added other source PI_.
Server overload/offline may lead to fetch failure

Also: you could increase the Timeout values on configure Metadata download
