Upgrading to newest firmware for unsupported kindle!
Hi everyone,
I was searching everywhere for a place to ask my question! As you guys know amazon has published their newest firmware which is 5.9.x.x, and that was meant to be for the newest devices. However, is it possible to manipulate the firmware to be installed on older devices since they stuck on the firmware 5.6.1.1? Idk if the jailbreak can help or not.. I’m seeking help on that to give the people with older kindles a hope to continue enjoying reading on these devices. Thank you. |

No. It'd take a tremendous amount of work, including possibly a shitload of kernel backports.
