In the .kobo directory there is a affiliate.conf file: You can change Your affiliation, You can write "affiliate=Kobo"

This trick is useful also if You want an update sooner than it is distributed for Your affiliation.

The Walmart ones do definitely say Walmart when they are sleeping. I had to change the affiliate on mine, but it is very easy to do even for the non-techie.

If you don't see Walmart and you didn't change the affiliate, either:
  1. The sleep cover is hiding it so you don't notice
  2. You bought it online and it was a third party seller, not actually Walmart
