How many people have you converted to ereading?
Just out of curiosity - I guess it was already discussed but been lurking everywhere and haven't seen a thread about it.
Only recently husband who doesn't read much but keeps having various ereaders showed in the face mentioned he may buy a book online, in pdf, mind you. There he got a lenghty lecture on pdf vs 6" screen etc. So he's being slowly but inevitably sucked in. The Kindle in the house will be his I guess as I use Opus. On a side note husbands are good to talk to Alf. They communicated well Plus, mine did read 5 books on the Kindle in the summer. That made me wonder how succesful were you in convincing how many people into ereading? I live in Belgium but for the past 2 years I saw 2 other people + 1 spotted by husband who had ereaders. People do read a lot, masses have books on the metro but when I start talking of ereaders they give me looks like if I was talking of three headed dragon. Not popular here at all so it seems. So, disregard if it was talked to death but if not - I'm curious! |

Not too many. Though I do talk them up. Probably only 3 or 4. Though strangers I talk to may have gotten one later that I don't know about...

One of my co-workers bought a kindle after she saw my e-reader and an other one bought the prs t1. My sister is also planning on buying one after she saw mine. So that''s three and I hope it stays at three, because I'm already tired of explaining everything about ade, calibre, apprentice alf, etc

One. But he doesn't seem to be sticking with it, so I guess it's actually zero.

At least five (my mother, my husband, my niece, my uncle and a friend) that I'm aware of, though there could be more if any of my fellow commuters have made the leap. Had dozens of conversations that began with, "Is that a Palm?" back in the pre-Nook days of my ebookwise and Rocket ebook.

None yet, though a couple people keep saying they want to give it a try. I mostly encounter people who go to great lengths to detail why they will never give up or switch from paper books.
To me, it's not an either/or thing, really. You can read both types and live a perfectly balanced life |

Zero. I don't really know anyone that reads, besides my husband's parents, and they won't let go of their library books. I gave my MIL my Sony 300, loaded with several books I thought she'd enjoy, and I doubt it's been turned on since it left my house.

Sadly, none. Everyone in my family has an android or apple device. I am always telling them to download the Amazon or Nook app. Even my twin sister has resisted. I have even told them about all the free books they can get. I used to love holding a book that I enjoyed close to me, I find the same cuddling desire with my ereader.
