v1.4 Update - Sideloading apps? (No)
Could someone try to install an app from any site besides B&N? I've heard a rumor that this update includes the same loophole that the Nook Tablet shipped with.

Ummm... you are the guy who said I've heard a rumor that this update includes the same loophole that the Nook Tablet shipped with., right?
AFAIK, no one else has ever heard this rumor - so, what is it? |

Getting errors when I try and install a .apk that I downloaded from my gmail in the browser. I get presented with 2 options: app installer and package installer. both fail. One gives an error - that for security reasons, only apps from the app store are allowed to install.
Is there a trick I'm not aware of? |

IF there is a way, I'm guessing it would be using the same loophole that works for the Tablet. At least that's what people hope for, as I understand it.

The rumor turned out not to be true. (I had heard it from a B&N insider.)
