Issues with calibre and moonreader tags

I am using calibre/calibre companion to organise my library. I primarily use tags to organise my book (genre, length, etc), but when I load my books through calibre/calibre companion onto moonreader, the tags are in a single line:
[fantasy; long, fave]

rather than each tag on it's own line:
[fantasy,
long,
fave,]

Because of this, when I am filtering through tags I cannot filter with the overall tag 'fantasy' but instead 'fantasy; long; fave' specifically. I wanted to know if there is a way to fix this through either app?

(However, I'm not sure if this is a calibre issue or a moonreader issue. I primarily use AZW3 files for my books, but if I use/convert them to EPUB, then this issue does not exist as the tags are all separated individually.)
