Anyone else having a problem purchasing this? I get an error:

We're sorry!
We had a problem processing your order.....

All my other purchases today went through fine.

Edit: Never mind, eventually went through when I selected Deliver to my Kindle.

FREE again, for the month of October. It's been updated, so if you already have this one or other Weekend Homesteader, you need to update your book.

By October, homesteaders in most parts of the U.S. are thinking hard about winter. This month's volume of Weekend Homesteader introduces two different ways to eat fresh produce deep into the cold months --- plucking winter squash and sweet potatoes right off the shelf and harvesting leafy greens from under quick hoops. Meanwhile, you'll take advantage of free mulch and compost going to waste in your neighborhood and will find out whether life at the poverty line is something to be scared of.

For those of you who are new to Weekend Homesteader, this series walks you through the basics of growing your own food, cooking the bounty, preparing for emergency power outages, and achieving financial independence. Technically, the series began in May (or November in the southern hemisphere), but most of the projects are designed to be accessible even to someone starting from square one each month. This ebook, and each other volume in the series, presents one easy and fun project for each weekend so that you'll keep making headway without becoming overwhelmed.

I'm hoping they'll put them all up on Kindle eventually, so I can replace my paper copies (sadly, I won't subscribe to their "subscription" version, as you lose all of your magazines if you ever cancel and to keep more than a few issues, you have to actively "keep" them on a device, then you lose them if the device breaks).

Only 130 issues or so to go and I'll have my collection replaced... ok, not that many, because they used to do a PDF disc you could buy for each year, until they became paranoid about copies existing on torrent sites.

Weekend Homesteader: February [Kindle Edition]
Anna Hess (Author)

http://www.amazon.com/Weekend-Homest...s_154606011_92

Escape the winter doldrums by expanding your homestead. Easy garden additions like strawberries and raspberries can provide delicious fruit for your family in a year or less. Add homegrown eggs from your new chicken flock and you'll have a feast. Meanwhile, buying non-perishables in bulk will save money while ensuring you have plenty of food during emergencies. Finally, an informal apprenticeship is the perfect way to learn hands-on skills like milking a cow or fermenting grapes into wine.

For those of you who are new to Weekend Homesteader, this series walks you through the basics of growing your own food, cooking the bounty, preparing for emergency power outages, and achieving financial independence.
