Adobe Digital Editions not seeing Kobo reader on Macbook

I've recently moved from a Windows laptop to a Macbook.
I can't transfer library books because ADE doesn't see the reader. The Macbook does see it though.

Any ideas?

No need for ADE to see your Kobo. Just go to the directory that ADE stores eBooks and pick the ones you want and copy them to your Kobo eBook directory.

You would think so, wouldn't you? Trouble is I then can't open the book because the reader isn't authorised.

Install the latest ADE if you are not running such. Once you have the latest ADE got to https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...gital-Editions and start from Step 4 of 4.

That assumes ADE can see the reader.

I did manage to authorise the reader using a Windows laptop. I was also able to transfer the book there. Seems the issue is with the Macbook.
