I have a tolino vision 6 with a 6C1 motherboard. The sd card died. Is it possible to get a firmware image anywhere? Is there any other way to get the tolino back to life?

Hello,

My Tolino Vision 6 just shows „Error!“ on the screen. Tried all the standard things but nothing worked.
I would like to give it a whirl with a new firmware image.
Can anybody provide me one for a 37NB-…-6B2 motherboard?

Thank you!

Tolino Vision 6 SD card defective, ‘Errror’ message on screen during reset

Hello,
after my tolino Vision 6 has not been used for a long time, I have recharged it.

It then started in a boot loop. When I tried to reset the tolino, an error message appeared on the screen.

I then removed the SD card. It seems to be completely broken. Can someone provide me with an SD card image for the tolino Vision 6. It is a device with the motherboard type 37NB-...-6B2

thanks

Did you have success with bringing your Vision 6 back to life?

I have the same issue with the "Error" Page showing up and cannot even get into recovery mode.

Any help would be much appreciated.

@schwede
Remove the defective SD card from the Tolino.
Create an image of this defective SD card.
Write image from defective SD card to working SD card (preferably U3 32GB, 64GB...).
Insert the recorded card into the Tolino.
Into recovery mode.
Recover the system.

Such a problem may arise here:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/at...7&d=1732619605
This can be resolved later.
Start the system.

If this doesn't help,
tell me what version of the motherboard you have, 6B2 or 6C1.
I will send you the corresponding image.

Hi everyone
I've got a bootloop after updating to 16.2.1.
Previously, I've installed twrp. Image on screen is freezed.

LED is periodically blinking.
It's possible to boot in fastboot.
On windows it's recognized as Kedacom USB device (KDB composite interface).
Reverted back to stock recovery, but can't boot there.

Could someone send my an SD-Card image for 37NB-E70P1M+6B2 ?

Thanks !)

It worked, thanks !)

The only issue - serial number.

I've also tried images for Kobo N418 Libra 2 vE - no success, even no led.

Before flashing the card, edit the image, for example, HxD editor, entering your serial number, if this is important to you.

From Kobo, a similar device in hardware is Sage. I created an image from it, but it also does not work on either Vision 6 or Shine 4.

I accidentally left my Tolino Vision 6 in the car outside where it got quite cold. After turning it on, it seemed to work fine at first, but a couple of minutes later the device froze.

Since then I tried every method known to me (soft reset, hard reset, recovery mode, etc.) to get it to boot up again, but it's stuck on the three animated dots during boot. I can't even get to the recovery mode by pressing and holding the down and power button (for a minute). All it does is flash black/white and then gets stuck on the boot dots again. Does this sound like a faulty SD card or is there something else I could try before breaking the thing open? The device has the stock firmware and I didn't tinker with it in any way. Thanks a lot!
