Once we got past the cheesy original TV show and its equally cheesy Kirk-based movies, I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the Star Trek shows and movies. Right up through Strange New Worlds and Discovery. I haven't watched Lower Decks because I'm not really a fan of animation that I didn't watch on Saturday mornings as a child (though the crossover episode with Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks was pretty fun). I've enjoyed some more than others, of course, but I don't recall being disappointed by anything post-Shatner/Nimoy. Probably because I don't get hung up on canon, and because I frankly find diversity and the addition of more inter-personal relationships in scifi quite refreshing.

I liked Discovery, Picard, and Lower Decks. The jury is still out on Prodigy.
The Section 31 movie was OK best. I'd like to see a sequel done better. |

I hope to see another day next year |

Just watched the last few episodes of the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy. I was surprised at how big a threat they introduced in the series, something on the level of The Borg and The Dominion.

We're currently watching Station Eleven. It's a rewatch for me, but I can only remember snippets, so it fine.
I've also caught up with The Pitt and watch the first episode of the second season of Uncanny on BBC (I love the podcast). I'm not sure what I'm going to watch tonight. There are a couple of documentaries I want to see, but now that I've finished reading Hannibal Rising I want to watch all five movies (both versions of Red Dragon). |

We somehow missed the two latest seasons of Midsomer Murders, so we started that yesterday.
I also watched the latest episode of The Pitt yesterday, very good. It's one of the few series I'm willing to watch weekly, instead of waiting to binge it. Earlier this week I finally got my hands on a box set of the Millennium (the X-Files spin off) with Lance Henriksen. But before starting with that I want to do a Hannibal Lecter watch. |

Oh My Ghost, a romance-comedy from South Korea. It involves two individuals, a ghost and the young woman she possesses.

I watched a National Theatre at Home production of Nye by Tim Price.
An absolutely wonderful play and production about the life and work of Aneurin Bevan. Michael Sheen was outstanding, with a wonderful supporting cast. It moved me to tears. |

We watched Art of Crime on MHz, part romcom which usually doesn't appeal to me but different enough to be worthwhile, especially since the romance is still at square 1 after 7 seasons. The mysteries are far-fetched but interesting, each involving a famous artist.
Now on S4 of Astrid, still good but wearing a little thin for me. |

We're watching The Staircase documentary currently. My sister has never seen it, for me it's the fourth time. Just four more episodes to go and after that we're going to start with White Lotus, which neither of us has seen.
My personal watch at the moment is the Gabby Petito documentary and tonight I'll watch the latest episode of The Pitt. Today I got the box sets of the McCallum series (two seasons), a medical procedural with John Hannah which ran from 1995 to 1998. |

After the Flood is a pretty good British series from prodicers of Happy Valley. The Belfast cop show Blue Lights is also very good.
Now watching Beck, a nice bit of Swedish noir - I think we saw the first season on Hulu years ago and now have all seasons on MHz. |

Perhaps as a small business owner, Hitch's ongoing health issues have reduced the amount of time for entertainment?

Just one more episode to go in season 1 of The White Lotus. Not sure what to think of it and if I want to continue.
I'm not sure what we're going to watch next. Maybe Earth Abides or maybe a movie; we both want to see Conclave. |
