I installed the nook in myAandroid phone and it worked like a charm. I already have a Kindle 2, the grey screen, not the nice bright white screen.
I really like the features of the Nook color. But I was really debating it, vs an Ipad, but I've spent over a half an hour with the app in my Ipod touch, and I've turned it off, turned it on, more than I ever have, and twice on the phone with customer service. I tried turning off my firewall, I tried even putting my credit card in the B and N system, according to the first customer service rep that would work. It didn't. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 4 times, and I'm done. But, I still have a question. I have a kindle, it is the grey screen. Does the Nook color get on Facebook, and twitter? I've not looked at it in the store, only online. I will glance at it in the store, next time I'm over that way. I would like for the app to work in my Ipod Touch, it'd be cool to have both Kindle, which works fine, and Nook in my Ipod touch, therefore, I'd know they'd both work in an Ipad. |

You know what? I'm downloading it through wifi, through my Ipod touch, cause it's not set to this computer, and I'll loose my aps if I sync it. I might try to use the computer it's set with...with my tmobile card, and try it like that.

No, you didn't misunderstand. This is a new computer, and it says, that if I sync it, it will only install the aps in my library, which is, at this time, only the nook. If I loose the aps, will they be "purchased" in the market, so I can reinstall them? ?

I synced, and I lost my aps. Then when I revertred, the "ap" screen in the itunes, again, went blurry, and unable to be used.

So you've not had this iPad connected to this computer before? Does iTunes recognize it when you connect it to USB? And.. when you say you lost your apps.. lost them on the iPad?

You must have the Sync Apps checked on the iTunes/Device (iPd)/Apps screen. iTunes "sees" itself as the "master" and if Sync Apps is not checked it will delete the apps on the iPad, but your apps remain in iTunes. Also, once you sync any App that you download directly to the iPad from the app store it will "sync" and be on iTunes. Hope that helps.

And don't forget... the apps in iTunes show under "Apps" in itunes "Library." Perhaps when you think you've lost your apps you are looking at iTunes Apps on "iPad"?? (And you can transfer purchased apps from the iPad to iTunes from the itunes File pulldown. It says "Transfer Purchases from [iPad]"
Also, if this is a new computer you'll have to re-download any app from the app store that is not "transferred" from the iPad. |

I finally got my apps all synced, downloaded the Nook ap into my IPod touch from the itunes on the computer, and this morning I got up, and the error number 1001 is still there, in my ipod touch.
I was going to look into buying a nook color., but though about getting an Ipad....but not after this. |
