I upgraded to Sequoia OS a few days ago. Now epub previews in Quicklook have stopped working... The cover image displays in Finder columns but when hitting space bar with the file selected I no longer get a scrolling preview. Anyone any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Same, too bad. But maybe the developer can have a look and fix it.
I did notice Quick Look for InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator updated after the update, so there must have been some change required for those to work on Sequoia. Last edited by tomsem; 09-26-2024 at 03:33 AM. |

I found and now use Murasaki - an app that provides Quicklook/preview for epubs: https://genjiapp.com/mac/murasaki/index_en.html Problem solved.

@steveparry
That app is not available in my country and not compatible with my older version of macOS. Also the update history I see is not very convincing. Paying $8 (with I can't as it's not available for me) seems a gamble to me if I wanted to use it for a few years. |

@mariosipad - It's only on macOS 15 Sequoia that you need Murasaki, since none of the other plugins (that I can find) work anymore. If you have an older version of macOS, then you don't need Murasaki. You can still use the free one, https://github.com/GenjiApp/EPUB-Plugins which was still working as of macOS 14. Note you may have to remove the quarantine attribute, since it isn't signed.

perhaps you could use a VPN to change your country? Another option would be to install Open Core Legacy Patcher to update your OS. I run 15.2 on a 2015 MacBook Pro: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/
