Phone recommendations sought
I am in the market for a new cellphone.
I don't use mine very much, and I don't need anything fancy. Just something reliable and uncomplicated. Prefer less than $200. Any ideas? Thanks! |

I have used Motorola G series phones for what seems like many years. They have very good battery life. Apple phones I have played with, costing far more, did not seem much better to me. A great many people, who use their phones for a broader range of tasks, will strongly disagree. But the better battery life of the cheaper phone is a fact.
Here is a review: https://www.tomsguide.com/phones/mot...r300-heres-why Current manufacture's price is US$149.99: https://www.motorola.com/us/en/p/pho...B&gclsrc=aw.ds The Moto G "Play" series is even cheaper but reviews say it is slow. |

Thanks Steve!
I'm going to compare what you say with similarly-priced phones that the phone companies are promoting. |

I've been a long time user of Motorola G phones, myself. My current phone is a moto g 5G (2022). The current model is the moto g 5G (2024), I believe. They have been very reliable over the years and are fairly inexpensive.
EDIT: The Moto G Power has the larger battery. I've been happy with mine. Last edited by cromag; 12-29-2024 at 08:07 PM. |
