Noooo! Go dead(ish), go! It's the only book that's out of the thriller, action movie set! Where hero undergoes <traumatic/conspiracy event> and goes on <vengeance/whatever>.

I don't believe that statement is entirely accurate. The description of Resurrection sounds like it would be along those lines, that is why I chose it. Dead(ish) feels like it would be geared more toward a female audience. Just my $.02

I think unless it is a specialised technical book $5 should pull it up every time. I was going to read dead(ish) anyway |

If Shutter Island gets voted in I might have to find something else to read... I guess I'll have to look a my very long TBR list... Not a bad thing at all... Go ahead, make my day!

For those in the USA with the luck to have Overdrive libraries, Shutter Island is available from some Overdrive libraries. So then it's free.
Unless we are going to restrict the book club choices by price/geo restriction etc etc, I think we are always going to struggle to get books that are available everywhere to all the MR members - it's just the nature of the beast that we all discuss at length in other threads. I guess that's a decision for the originators of the Book Club. |
