noindent first line, indent all other lines, same paragraph, possible?

Is it possible to have a paragraph that does no indention on the very first line, but indents the rest of the lines (if any) in the paragraph? (And continues to work when the use changer font size, etc.)

(This is both a learning question, but also my thoughts about how to create a nice implementation for the attached picture.)

Just use a positive left margin and an equal but negative text indent.

.hanging {
margin-left: 4em;
text-indent: -4em;
}

I would suggest looking at our wiki CSS_HowTo#Indenting_a_paragraph for this and other questions you may have with formatting. What it says is:

h2 + p {
text-indent:0;
}
p {
text-indent:2em;
}

The wiki includes a discussion.
